Testimonial: Keeping the Job on Track
Jim Johnson of A & A Electric in Tampa likes Wiremold prewired 4000 Series raceway because it installs 25 to 30 percent faster than a field-assembled system. Not only that – as a recent renovation at the University of South Florida proved – the made-to-order raceway keeps pace with the inevitable changes that are part of any job.
“After the submittal process was completed, they started changing quite a few walls and we ran out of time to do the procedure we normally do for ordering prewired raceway,” recalls Johnson.
“My foreman took physical measurements out in the field. We transferred them to prints and worked directly with the factory. It was fast, very accurate, and a really good solution for us,” Johnson says.

Testimonial: “Prewired
It’s The Way To Go”
Jay Beck, Project Manager for AC Corp in Greensboro, N.C., has been involved in a number of projects in the high-tech Research Triangle of North Carolina.
You’ve been using prewired raceway in research lab jobs. Why?
It’s a beautiful raceway system. All the pieces are there and everything is identified as to where it goes. Labor-wise it’s a fabulous system.
How much quicker?
Versus component, I’d say it’s about one-third the amount of labor. You eliminate dealing with all the parts and pieces and, of course, there’s no cutting. Even with a good saw, cutting is time consuming.
You’re using it in a current project?
It’s another laboratory and we’re putting in prewired 4000 raceway. The original spec was for Wiremold 4000 raceway, but we asked to substitute with the
prewired. It’s not only so much faster going in, it’s much cleaner. All the plates, punches, and covers are perfect.
You sound convinced.
It costs a bit more, but the labor savings of prewired raceway is a tremendous asset. It’s the way to go.
